KIRYAS JOEL (VINnews) — US Senator Charles Schumer, who is the Senate Majority Leader visited the village of Kiryas Joel on Sunday afternoon November 14, 2021 where he was welcomed by Village Administrator Gedalye Szegedin.

Schumer had lunch in Kiryas Joel with Village officials where Mr. Szegedin gave the Senator an overview of the incredible growth of the Village and expressed his appreciation to the Senator for his help in ensuring the vibrancy of the community.
Senator Schumer also paid a visit to the home of the Satmar Rebbe at his home in Kiryas Joel where he was warmly welcomed by the Rebbe and received a bracha for Hatzlacha.

Schumer’s party supports violating everyone of the 7 Noahites Mitsvos, and creating laws which tighten the noose around religious liberties in every school, even thought it’s not “yet” enforced.

This is truly beautiful. It is inspiring to see that there are still respectful people in this world. Senator Schumer carries himself with dignity, humility, and respect and shows reverence for the Rebbe while the Chasidim express true hakoras hatov to Senator Schumer for what he has done for the community.
Contrast this with some in our community who loudly support people who call for one religion in America and defend the Ohio GOPQ senatorial candidate that openly supports such statements. Contrast this with those that support con artists that defy congressional subpoenas and refuse to help a bipartisan committee get to the bottom of what happened on January 6th.
Seeing the interactions of Senator Schumer and the Rebbe gives us all hope that we can come to our senses and deal with each other with honesty and respect. Yasher koach to Ezra Friedlander and the Satmar askanim for arranging and publicizing this.
