NEW YORK (JTA) – Fox Nation host Lara Logan compared Anthony Fauci, the top official handling the U.S. coronavirus response, to Josef Mengele, the Nazi doctor who conducted experiments on inmates at the Auschwitz death camp.

Logan was speaking on “Fox News Primetime” on Monday about the prospect of new restrictive measures in the wake of the international concern over a new coronavirus variant, dubbed Omicron.
“This is what people say to me, that he doesn’t represent science to them,” Logan said of Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, who has become a lightning rod for conservative ire because he has favored restrictions to contain the virus. “He represents Joseph Mengele, the Nazi doctor who did experiments on Jews during the Second World War and in the concentration camps. And I am talking about people all across the world are saying this.”
The Auschwitz memorial museum called the comparison “shameful” in a statement on Tuesday.
“Exploiting the tragedy of people who became victims of criminal pseudo-medical experiments in Auschwitz in a debate about vaccines, pandemic and people who fight for saving human lives is shameful,” the museum’s Twitter account wrote. “It is disrespectful to victims and a sad symptom of moral and intellectual decline.”
In the wake of Omicron’s development, Biden has restricted travel from some southern African nations where it appears to be prevalent. But otherwise Fauci has said it is too early to tell if the variant will trigger renewed restrictions.
National Jewish groups have repeatedly rebuked conservative figures, including, frequently, Republican lawmakers, who have likened coronavirus protections to the Nazi era.
Logan was a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018. She joined the Fox Nation streaming service, a spinoff of Fox News, in 2019.
“Shameful” is an inadequate word for her.
Not surprising on a network that values outrage over accuracy.
Logan forgot that in the eyes of the JTA , it’s only acceptable to compare conservatives and Trump to Nazis.

I didn’t see the ”Jewish” outrage when Pres. Trump was called a nazi! Fauci IS responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths. He funded the Wuhan experiments.

Just wondering, Fauci said in an interview after Trump won the election about 3 years ago, that Trump will face a pandemic that the world has never seen before, and he was sure about it!!!

The real question should be how many millions did he make in investing in vaccine producing firms
And how many died because of his refusing to allow several other treatments to be offered

Some people are so blind, uninformed or just plain stupid. I am not judging the remarks of Laura Logan, but Fauci at one time was a great research scientist. However, that is a far cry from the field of health care/crisis management. He has turned into a monster by totally dropping the ball on the management of Covid19, and should be held responsible for 100s of thousands unnecessary deaths. Unfortunately, many others in health care/crisis management have followed his lead with the same disastrous results. The greatest professional at health care/crisis management, is Dr. Johan Giesecke of Sweden; had the world followed his protocols, there would not have been all the economic and emotional turmoil and Covid would have run its course by now and petered out!
Fauci keep up the good work! Ignore the noise! The silent majority backs you and is appreciative of everything you do!

The Nuremberg laws outlawing forced medical experimentation were written as a response to Mengele YM”Sh.
Those laws are being ignored in the fanatical edicts and mandates requiring people to get these vaccines.
The comparison is quite valid, though Mengele was much more horrific.
Ridiculous. Menguele targeted Jews mainly. Fauci on the other hand designed a virus that have killed indiscriminately. This comparison cheapens the holocaust victims.
