Biden Claims He Was Negotiator During Six-Day War, Despite Still Being In Law School at the Time

WASHINGTON (VINnews) — President Joe Biden, who is notorious for stretching the truth, claimed that he was involved in negotiations between Israel and Egypt during the Six Day War.

The problem is, Biden was still attending law school at the time. True, Biden has been in Washington for a really long time. But not that long.

At the White House Chanukah party this past week, Biden claimed that he was invited to Israel during the war by former Prime Minister Golda Meir — but the timing doesn’t quite pan out.

Biden went further, claiming that he served as liaison between Israel and Egypt.

“I have known every — every prime minister well since Golda Meir, including Golda Meir,” Biden said. “And during the Six-Day War, I had an opportunity to — she invited me to come over because I was going to be the liaison between she and the Egyptians about the Suez.

“And I sat in front of her desk,” he continued. “And she had a guy — her staff member — to my right. His name was Rabin. And she kept flipping those maps up and down. She had that bevy of maps — sort of kept it — and it was — it was so depressing what she was — about what happened. She gave me every detail.”

The historical conundrum is the fact that the Six-Day War took place in June 1967. At the time, Biden was a student at the Syracuse University Law School and did not graduate until 1968. He was not elected to the Senate until 1972. Additionally, Meir was not elected Prime Minister of Israel until March 17, 1969.

Assuming his claim had any basis in reality, the president may have been referring to a meeting he had with Ms. Meir prior to the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Although it’s still not clear what he meant by “liaison.”

Another reason Biden couldn’t have been the Liaison is because I was the Liaison.

Ye he probably meant the Yom Kippur war. That was Golda Meir. And he was already in DC at the time. Again maybe it’s true maybe not. But definitely YK war is the one he is getting confused. He is getting old though. So…

“President Joe Biden, who is notorious for stretching the truth” now this is a lie, who is this article trying to appease? Instead of saying he’s a big fat liar making up stuff, nah he’s just stretching the truth.

He didn’t lie – he mixed up the wars. He went to meet Golda Meir in 1973 when she was Prime Minister. Levi Eshkol was Prime Minister during the six day war.

That’s at least now 2 presidents in a row that can’t keep their facts straight. Or it may be the 46th president in a row.
Whatever.
