Attorney For Rabbi Shaul Alter Declares To Court: ‘I Do Not Wish To Modify The Pure Chinuch Of Ger’

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In response to the article in the HaModia newspaper Friday which expressed “shock and dismay due to the suing of senior rabbis in court so that judges intervene in the pure chinuch,” attorney Shlomo Elbaum representing Rabbi Shaul Alter submitted a “declaration of intent” to the court. The statement referred to the “main headline from the Hamodia newspaper which updated about a mass demonstration of some 15,000 people to take place today under the home of the petitioner.”

Elbaum quoted the newspaper article which stated that “nobody ever dared go to court so that the judges will compel their view regarding the pure chinuch in the faithful communities of Israel.” He stressed that “in the title and the article, the Ger chasidim are imputing to the petitioner things that he did not say or even thought to say and he denies saying such things. He does not wish in any way to modify the pure chinuch of Ger and says that he and his client were educated in this way.”

Elbaum adds that he and his client seek “to change the unbridled incitement, setting fathers against sons, sons against fathers and brothers against each other.” He added that “the judge said that this is a desecration of G-d’s name, and for such baseless hatred the Temple was destroyed, and this is what the petitioner and his client wish to cease.”

Moreover, “taking things out of context and the attempt to publicly accuse the petitioner of attempting to modify the pure chinuch are a classic and typical example of the wild incitement instigated by the Higher Committee of Ger chasidim who continue daily to defame in every possible way the community led by Rabbi Shaul Alter, via telephone, presentations, pamphlets, speeches and lectures.

Elbaum says that the demonstration is an attempt to ‘shut his mouth and bully him into submission’ but he only wishes for “peace and tranquility between the two communities.”

The protest is due to take place at 7PM on Chazon Ish street in Bnei Brak. Prior to the demonstration, at 12 PM, senior members of the Ger chasidim will appear in court regarding the defamation suit.

It’s unfortunate, but the only way to deal with the ger terror machine is with the court’s, let’s hope that this will work, and nobody will get hurt

they are going to court to stop the redifos from Ger. the Rebbe has a choice he can stop Rodefen Erliche yidden and it all stops. if he can’t listen to the yetser hatov and put and end the redifes then the israeli court will.

Interesting the Hamodia did not have a word to say about girls being thowen of of school people losing their livelihoods, families being separated and Ger chasidim running after Harav Shaul Alatr’s Chasidim yelling yemach shemom. throwing stones! redifes that if goyim would be doing it we would all be up in arms yelling antisemitism! but somehow if Gerrer chasidim are doing it it all ok!??! but going to court ! ha! thats when they wake up!!

what wrong with us?

When people are fighting we ignore them. Both parties. They are not essential to the Klal.

Wow! Such a great “kidush hashem” from all sides!
This will certainly demonstrate to the secular community the peacefulness, harmony, and beauty of the “hareidy” lifestyle and bring them closer to torah and mtzvot.
Even better than Ponivitch!

When will people finally realize that todays chasidishe rebbes are all frauds? Nothing but fighting; Bobov, Satmar, Ger, you name it. It’s not like it was in Europe
when a shtetl had a Rav and the respect was mutual between the Rav and the community. I bet half these Rebbes barely know any halacha. If they did, they wouldn’t behave this way. All they want is to keep their sheep under their control while milking them dry. And just look at a huge portion of younger chasidim today – no manners, no respect for others. Living in Monsey, I see so many of them who have moved here and have literally ruined the neighborhood. After all, all laws are merely suggestions. Doesnt apply to them.

Everything was fine until RSA NEEDED to be rebbe
Jealousy is a powerful thing
A real tzaddik wouldn’t do this
Nuff said
