This past week, Rebbetzin Leah Kolodetsky, Rav Chaim’s daughter, was confronted, threatened, and verbally assaulted by a group of anti-vaxxers demanding to speak with her father.

According to a report in Kikar Shabbos, she was hosting a reception for the community when a group of women confronted her and demanded to see her father immediately, so they could convince him to change his position. The group called her a “murderer” and other vicious names.

The Rebbetzin said, “A group approached me, one of them holding a stack of medical records, claiming to have saved many children from coronavirus without vaccines. They threatened not to leave until I brought them to my father and convinced him to release an anti-vaccine statement. I threatened to call the police but they still refused to leave. I explained that my father is not well and is not getting involved.”

The Rebbetzin told the ladies that she herself had been reluctant to vaccinate because she worried that she was high-risk, but one Shabbos her father pressed her and assured that she would be fine, and as soon as Shabbos ended, she got the shot while still dressed in Shabbos clothing.

She added that Rav Chaim had all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren vaccinated, based on extensive medical advice and research.

The Rebbetzin spoke strongly in favor of vaccines, saying “Baruch Hashem the world has been saved from these lies. They tried to convince us that it could harm pregnancy, but my daughters-in-law got vaccinated before, during, and after pregnancy, and they are all fine.”

Amazingly, at one point Rav Chaim found out about the commotion, and asked to speak with the anti-vaxxers. He sat with them until 2 am, listening to their concerns and reading their records. He then discussed the claims extensively with doctors, and concluded that all the points they made against the vaccines were nonsense.

I heard the recording of the meeting and this article is a terrible twisted version of what happened. To prove it, it claims Rav Chaim let the women in to hear them out. Rav Chaim never, never sees women. They were never let in. And why label them anti-vaxxers. They’re only against this vaccine which is experimental and the adverse effects are climbing. It’s a dangerous vaccine and they are misleading the Gadol Hador.

This story has more holes in it than a swiss cheese, and almost as much reliability as xchian or mooslim texts. The only conclusion that one can reliably make is that, due to his advanced age and health issues, Rav Chaim is not accessible to the public and his statements can’t be verified, and some people took upon themselves to make up statements in his name, and these people happened to be faucists. Well, we have to listen to talmidei chachomim; there’s no mitzvah to follow a “novi sheker” pretending to speak in the name of a talmid chochom. Rav Chaim’s kids opinions are their own, and are not necessarily a Daas Torah. Ask all your shailos from your own Rav, providing that he actually learned the sugya.

This story makes no sense. Apparently these “anti-vaxxers” were ladies, and Rav Chaim doesn’t meet with ladies. And then he met with them until 2am and after that met with doctors. When, at 3am? This sounds like an overblown exaggeration of a small incident that occurred long ago, being expanded now to increase the public’s perception of the “horror” inflicted upon Rav Chaim’s family.

Were these ladies against all vaccines, against Covid vaccines, or against COVID vaccines for kids? If not exclusively the last of these, this story has no relevance to what’s been going on (contrary to the implication in the title “Not Again”).

If Rav Chaim would tell me that I should vaccinate my children and they’ll be safe etc., I would do it because of who Rav Chaim is. So the fact that in Israel (where the only offered answer to COVID is vaccines and ventilators) his grandchildren and great grandchildren are vaccinated with his urging and blessings is not a significant piece of information as per its relevance to American kids, where no one (yet) is forcing kids to be vaccinated, and there is no medical, statistical, scientific, or rational reason to do so. So something about this article makes no sense, or only tells part of the story, or is a complete fabrication, or all of the above.

This whole story rings so false
What’s the source for this make believe nonsense
The rabbi doesn’t meet women. Furthermore “concluding their points were nonsense” reeks of tainted propaganda.
It’s not nonsense
It’s all real but unproven because the people in charge prefer to keep injuries unverified and Unpublicized and out of the public eye.
People are being injured left and right all you have to do is ask your friends and family who took it if anyone suffered a reaction they believe is related. I know a dozen people who had Adverse events.
The rav would not come to such a conclusion- and if he did he wouldn’t phrase it like that.
Perhaps he would say, you are right there are some concerns, but I give you my Bracha it will be ok. We need to do it anyway etc

This article is obviously written from a pro vaccine perspective. Its really hard to know what to believe when each side is so maliciously extreme in reporting only the news that reflects their narrative in how they want others to view their position.

Even if u disagree personally with Rav Chaim’s stance, how does someone march to his house and demand to see him? I would be scared to go there and ask to see him and be initimdated the whole time. Not that it’s ok to do it to a stam baal habayis either.

lolol absolutely hilarious – mamash science fiction
Reb Chaim only answers in 1 or 2 word sentences, definitely does not have ”extensive discussions”, or ”hear commotions” and call people in, especially at 2am!! His gabbai told my husband he hasn’t answered any shailos for the past few months since he is very weak!!

If the last paragraph was true, the headline should of been “Shocking: Rav Chaim sits with anti-vaxxers until 2 am, listening to their concerns and reading their records. He then discussed the claims extensively with doctors”…

Sad, but, all this insolence is a sure sign of an ever-nearer geulah.

I hope we make it there in as close to one piece as possible.

The cat’s out of the bag. Once upon a time , someone questioning a prominent gadol’s statement , circumstances around it , age , story in a book , was immediately called an apikorus , lowlife , anti dastorah ignoramus. The hypocrites abound now and this is neither my defence of , nor anti vaxing opinion , because each side has a point.
It could be any topic but look what’s happening.

R Chaim didn’t say anything his grandson did and he’s saying his grandfather said it. Look at the video.

The only agenda of these wicked anti vaxxers should have been to wish the venerated גדול הדור Happy Birthday & Many Happy Returns of the day on this his 94th birthday, and B’H I went to get my booster in order to comply with the Pesak of the venerated גדול הדור and B’H have felt fine ever since including even the very day after.

From their behavior pattern, it is obvious that these anti-vaxxers are frauds. Our Torah teaches us that it’s ways are pleasant – דרכיה דרכי נועם. And these bear no similarity to what we know as consistent with Torah value. Look at how Rav Chaim Shlit’ah handled these protesters. He met, read their records, listened, and concluded. האמת יורה דרכו.

Archy and his anti-science crusade has unsurprisingly affected other uneducated people, like Sara, and you have now a plague on uneducated fools spreading anti-vaxx nonsense.

The c19 injection science is far from solid. Those who allow themselves to be subject to it are ‘walking on water’ and not basing their health on traditional ideas.
