Police say that she took her own life. Police arrived at the apartment of the young woman who had not responded to her family for two days and found her dead.

The victim’s friend Tehila Vaknin wrote on Facebook “we were looking for her during this period, she took the story of Chaim Walder to heart since she herself was a victim of sexual abuse.”

Her friend initially wrote that she was not one of the victims of Chaim Walder, but later retracted that statement, saying she was not originally aware.

If you are a victim of abuse, help is available. Reach out to Amudim at (646) 517-0222, or visit WWW.AMUDIM.ORG to learn more.

Those Rabbonim who are still trying to cover up raping children whilst taking Walder’s side and disregarding his victims should be ashamed of themselves. The Rabbonim who knew about him 20 years ago and did nothing are rodfim.

This young woman ended her life in utter despair after seeing a monster, rapist and pervert being honored and acknowledged by a community that has convinced itself that it represent the best of humanity.

Who and what have we become???!!!!

So now let’s see the response from CW apologists. She was driven to suicide by CW. If as you said yesterday and the day before is correct, and those who spoke ill of CW are guilty of murder for causing him to kill himself, is CW guilty of her murder?

We need to talk openly about suicide, but we also need to be careful. Hearing about suicide can be a trigger for those who have suicidal tendencies. Now is the time to reach out and support those who are struggling.

As per her friend’s account, she retracted her statement that she wasn’t a victim of Walder and confirmed that she in fact was but was not aware at the time! This was confirmed by her therapist as well. Either way, it’s a sad day for klal yisrael. This was predictable. Sadly, this is not going to be the end of this story. May Hashem have mercy on us!

It’s time that we all INSIST that our “leaders” (ALL of them) approach the perpetrators of this scourge on the Jewish community as Rodfim and Rotzchim, simply because that is what they are. There is a lot of halachic leeway in our approach to Rodfim that would put the safety of victims and potential victims at the forefront, while still working with the purported Rodef.

Where was the therapist who confirmed that she was a victim? Therapists are mandated reporters! They should not let such actions be perpetuated! It is part of their responsibility! There were reportedly 22! Victims! Why hasn’t a single one (or their therapists, friends spouses etc) spoken out and reported to authorities etc until now?!

I would urge anyone preparing to respond to this article to consider the very real possibility that a victim of Chaim Walder, and certainly other victims of abuse in our community, are reading *this* article and *your comments*.

Suicide is a delicate topic for those who struggle with it, discussions about it can be triggering.

Please be careful and considerate.

The big issue overhere is rationalizing suicide, that should never be an option, as it’s a breakdown in society, if things go wrong, the person just takes his life. The bigger problem is, that if the therapists knew of these stories so many years ago, why do they wait for Haaretz to publish the story? Why didn’t they talk to the right people then, and might have saved numerous lives, maybe he wouldn’t have gone to jail, but at least people would have known to stay away, and whoever says that these people are protected by the rabbis doesn’t know the facts, it’s just the way they deal with it is an approach that not everyone agrees to, they’ll always make sure that for whoever it’s relevant should know to stay away, usually stripping the person from his job etc, while making sure it’s not the talk by the supper table, just as we don’t talk about other disgusting topics, for instance no frum publication discussed the reports about trump when it wasn’t topics that should be discussed by young kids

if he went to welder and not here then all he cares about is supporting criminals

Why was she left alone this past week? Where was her family and friends during this difficult time? Am Yisrael – Wake up! Don’t leave people to struggle alone and convince yourself that “They’ll be fine” just because you are. Instead of bashing this all over the news, there should’ve been a call number for support for the victims and daily call check ins to see that they’re ok. Same with Walder. His family and friends should’ve been informed to keep their eyes on him as a suicide watch. People are ill informed when it comes to their own family and friends and more has to be done to educate the Jewish community about signs. And that includes educating Rabbanim on this topic as well. It’s nice that there are hotlines for prevention for the individual, but the family also needs to be involved. Amudim – Community Awareness on this important topic is vital for friends, family, neighbors, teachers and Rabbanim worldwide.

CW wrote that he’s taking rabbi eliyaho and rabbi silman to din Tora in shamayim, looks like she wanted to go be a witness.
