The incident occurred near 51 Bartlett St. in Williamsburg at approximately 10:30 PM.

According to police, the 26-year-old victim was chased by two men. When they caught up to him, one of them struck him on the back of the head with an unknown object, giving him a nasty gash.

Hatzolah responded to the scene, and according to police, the victim required 8 staples to close the wound on his head.

It is unclear if any words were exchanged between the victim and his attackers at the time of the attack, but police are investigating as a possible hate crime, as the man was wearing traditional religious garb in a largely Hasidic area when he was attacked.

The perpetrators were not yet arrested at the time of this writing.

Isn’t it odd that this article does not give a description of the perpetrators, other than their sex?

hate crimes task force are the laziest cops around in the NYPD now that says alot, I read today they only arrest 10% of the criminals who committe hate crimes, most of them are in their upper 40’s and 50’s and have been with the force for 20 years and are nearing retirement and have no interest in solving cases.
