JERUSALEM (VINnews) — A Israeli satirist and actor caused outraged reactions when he published a post on his Facebook page Tuesday calling to “reduce to rubble” the Western Wall and Temple Mount.

Reshef Levy, an Israeli satirist who has authored and scripted many plays and television series, was responding to right-wing media commentator Yinon Magal, who had said that he hoped to assist in building the Temple on Temple Mount. Levy said that Magal must have “lost his mind” and added that “I have one request from G-d. Please G-d, I am sure that you only do good. I have never read any request by you that people should sacrifice their lives for any bunch of stones, even in Jerusalem. You see all of the terrorists and nutcases acting in your name and are as dispirited as we are.

“I have a request to you as the one who controls the firmaments, please send a small meteor -not too big – to the holy sites so that it will reduce to rubble the Kotel and the Temple Mount which were anyway built by Herod the sinner.”

A flurry of angry responses greeted Levy’s post. One responder wrote: “You have lost your marbles. Why is it important to you to be Jewish? Give up your identity and don’t relinquish for us the values and holy places to Judaism. You are in favor of wiping out the history of the Jewish nation. Would you dare to say anything about Holocaust memorial day? There is not more degenerate thing than what you wrote.”

Another responder wrote: ‘For shame! You should beg forgiveness from all of the bereaved families whose children fought in Israel’s wars to free the Kotel and Jerusalem. Who needs shahids when there are Jews like you? What happened, nobody heard about you for a while?”

Magal himself responded by describing how “for 2000 years Jews yearned with tears to return to this place. There is no prayer without supplications to rebuild the Temple. The Kotel is the last remnant which reminds us of the Jewish nation’s exile which caused untold suffering and here comes a Jew and asks G-d to raze the holy stones claiming that they caused the dispute. Blaming stones and not people for violence is a precedent. “Some people have a heart of stone and some stones have a human heart.”

It looks like we have plenty of nut jobs among our own people. Boycott him, out him, or maybe educate this fool. He belongs with the Hamas terrorists. He probably spies for them. The Israeli Army should be monitoring these crazies.

Do you also include the next word “bishuvicha”, as in G-d?

Well, technically it is sort of rubble, or ruins if you prefer.

If you read his words: “I have never read any request by you that people should sacrifice their lives for any bunch of stones, even in Jerusalem.” you will see that Mr.? Levy is right on, of course.

Other than during a time of shmad or in the case of any of the three inviolable sins (all of which apply to the Zionist army, both shmad and all the sins, as it happens), the greatest value in Judaism is human life. That is worth far, far, far more than any “bunch of stones”.

Moreover, we know that the third Bayis will come down from heaven in fire. Surely, Hashem can replace the Kosel, too, if need be. Jewish lives are the greatest value.

The saddest part about this story is that some people think that he is the traitor and the Zionists are the ones who are “being Jewish” when, of course, the opposite is true.

If they yearn so much for these stones, then why do they hate the nation of Israel that protects and defends those stones?
