Watch: Haredi Protester Brutally Beaten By Policeman In Meron, Arrested For ‘Damaging Loudspeaker’

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — During clashes which broke out at the tomb of Rashbi at Meron Wednesday evening, a number of demonstrators from the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak chasidic group were arrested. Clips of the arrest released to social media have caused an uproar, as they show a policeman brutally hitting and injuring a demonstrator, using unrestrained force and causing him severe facial bleeding.

Police claimed that some extremist elements started rioting and damaging equipment including loudspeakers and other new infrastructure at the site. Protesters allegedly defied police orders, spat and shouted epithets at them and refused to leave the site.

However the documented arrest by policeman Michael Jino, who is apparently responsible for order at Meron year round, shows excessive force. Jino lies on the detainee and hits him until he starts bleeding, despite protests by distraught onlookers.

The detainee was taken to Rambam hospital in Haifa for treatment accompanied by a policeman who stayed with him during the course of his stay.

MK Itamar Ben-Gvir responded to the police violence, stating that “Police use strong-arm tactics against chareidim and weakness towards terrorists. We don’t see what happened before in the clips and the demonstrator may have irritated the police officer but on Temple Mount they displayed restraint against petrol bomb throwers and then they lose it against chareidim in Meron as if they were punching bags. Such scenes should not repeat themselves again. Internal Investigations must investigate the shocking behavior of the police officer.

I don’t know what the chareidi man was doing, but it looked like the policeman was actually strangling him.

You murder Jews, you get cigarettes, you damage speakers, you get your head smashed and choked.

Yes yes, the Elad terrorists asked for cigarettes and got it, what a shamed. They were treated very noble, compared to these Amish like people.

The issue at hand is that the State has taken over the Hillula events and is doing its utmost to ensure the safety of the people going to Har Miron. These people oppose the notion that Miron will become just another tourist site under the management of the State of Israel. This is an ideological battle and somewhat seems to overlook the terrible tragedy that happened last year this time. No one, can bear to have another tragedy again especially as the cries of the bereaved parents, widows and orphans still resound all over the country. Fighting the police is biting at the stick and honestly, the stick hits back and viciously too. Use some rational seichel – the Hillula became perilously dangerous. Is the blood of the 45 ppl who paid with their lives and the suffering of their families not enough to mandate and enforce new safety measures!

This wicked policeman ימח שמו וזכרונו utilized exact same viciousness that Chauvin ימח שמו וזכרונו utilized on George Floyd הי”ד
He needs to be locked up for minimum of 22 years as Chauvin ימח שמו וזכרונו & better still for life without the possibility of parole .

It would be self- understood and logical for every single Jew in chutz la’aretz, given the state of the world and what is going on today, to FLEE to live in Israel, not because of tzionistic feelings, but simply to seek refuge and to survive with our lives and families, now, in the last days before Moshiach, to escape from the spiraling horrors of what is happening here in U.S. and other previously ‘safe’ havens we were blessed with after our parents survived the nightmares of WW2. However, seeing these horrific scenes of what Israel consists of today, and what we can await there – di biener veren far’glivert. Where is there to go and what is there to do? Of course, to have emunah and know that ein od milvado and wait for Moshiach to arrive – momentarily, but TILL THEN????

Lets see–what would VIN posters be saying if it was an American cop and a black man?

a. We didn’t see what happened before the video.
b. None of this would have happened if the guy hadn’t broken the law in the first place.
c. What do you expect? Those people are always breaking the law and disrespecting the authorities.

A couple of points:

1) We are missing part of the story as we do not see what took place before this video was shot.

2) Where are the leaders of these groups of people going to Meron? How do they teach them how to live? In America, we are constantly taught about presenting ourselves as gentle people who act with metschlechkeit….
