ALBANY (Yaakov M / VINnews) — Governor Kathy Hochul does not want facts to get in the way of her feelings…about gun control.
Hochul is on a crusade against people who own guns legally, after a recent Supreme Court decision allowed law-abiding citizens to carry concealed firearms in New York.
Albany news anchor Anne McCloy asked Hochul if she has numbers or data to support her belief that gun owners with concealed-carry permits are the people who commit the crimes, as Hochul claims.

“Do you have numbers to show that it’s the concealed carry permit holders that are committing crimes?” McCloy asked. “Because the lawful gun owner will say that you’re attacking the wrong person, it’s really people that are getting these guns illegally that are causing the violence, not the people going and getting the permit legally and that’s the basis for the whole Supreme Court argument. Do you have the numbers?”
“I don’t need to have numbers,” Hochul replied. “I don’t need to have a data point to point to to say this is gonna — All I know is that I have a responsibility to the people of this state to have sensible gun safety laws, and this one was not devised by the Hochul administration. It comes out of an administration from 1908. I don’t need a data point to make the case that I have a responsibility to protect the people of this state.”

What’s this love affair with Democrat politicians because of their financial support for yeshivas and other frum institutions. What are they the only party capable of such a thing?? Insanity! Many republican/conservative Governors and presidents (Trump) and his Education Secretary Betsy Devos fought for private and charter school vouchers. These “askanim” make it sound like they’ll get totally screwed if they vote for a Republican. Nonsense. And how’s about being tough on crime and protecting kids from being injected with CRT and all the other disgusting sexual teachings that are promoted in public schools. We know which party is responsible for that. But let’s vote Democrat.
Look at shootings, not homicides. NYC is compact & EMT does a good job getting to victims, stabilizing them, and getting them to a hospital. Experienced ER Doctors (because of the number of shootings in NYC, & because of top talent going to top hospitals in NYC) keep shooting victims alive. If you look at SHOOTINGS, NYC is pretty high on the list. Hochul and Democrats want to disarm the public (and even the police prefer to be the only ones with guns); luckily SCOTUS finally drove a stake through the Sullivan Law.
Don’t get me wrong, she’s generally insane, but this was taken out of context. She meant we don’t need to wait for more data to be gathered.
This white lady is brilliant. We are so fortunate to have her as our Governor.

New York City’s rate was 3.8. Last year it was 5.8, still lower than Florida and Texas.
