NEW YORK (VINnews) — A small plane crashed onto the highway in upstate New York on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Route 42 and Dingle Daisy Rd in Monticello, shortly before 1 PM.
The pilot was able to exit the plane following the crash.
The highway was shut down in both directions as emergency crews arrived at the scene.
Small planes are dangerous , more of them malfunction or crash in the US than is reported in the media. Avoid them.
