Yes, halacha is halacha, as Cool Masmid tells us.

However, it’s not true that ALL charedi poskim say that “going on Temple Mount is against halacha.”

1) Rav Meir Mazuz is a a haredi posek and says it’s permitted, according to the guidelines used by ALL religious Jews who go up today.

2) Given that “halacha is halacha,” why is Shapiro obligated to follow haredi poskim, rather than the non-haredi poskim and Roshei Yeshiva who DO permit it and DO go up? Why can’t he simply follow “halacha,” as taught by the poskim and Rabbonim of his own culture?

3) Here’s a challenge to one and all: Learn the suggya, familiarize yourself with present-day reality on Har haBayit (very different than it was decades ago), read the detailed explanations of those that permit it, read the explanations of those who forbid it, and then get back to us with a well-argued explanation showing why the ones who permit are wrong, other than their being “non-haredi.”

Good luck with that.

I’ve lost my admiration for him and I’m sure many others have too. I understand that he’s not your typical yeshiva guy, but halacha is halacha and going on Temple Mount is against halacha and therefore what he did is in clear violation of the psak of all chareidi poskim of our time… I’m actually a little surprised that he disobeyed the psak of so many…

the tuma’ah issue is a machlokes, but the hisgarus b’ummos issue should not be – it is pikuach nefesh and redifus to go up to Har HaBayis b’zman hazzeh.

More of the same regarding the recent trend of vin. Someone has become infatuated with politics and it seems like right-wing conservatism has become more important than Torah itself. The same person has a crush on Ben. Why is this news?! Who cares what he’s doing in israel? I have nothing against him. But this shouldn’t be headline news on a frum website.
