Shocking Israel Police Brutality Continues: Passerby Badly Beaten At Bnei Brak Demonstration

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In a horrific display of gratuitous brutality, Bnei Brak police including the local superintendent arrested and beat up an Avreich who was walking along the street and had no connection to a demonstration taking place at the time.

A video clip of the event shows Rabbi Chananel Tiran, a father of five and youth counselor, walking down the street when he is accosted by a policeman. Rabbi Tiran turned around to read the policeman’s nametag and was then violently assaulted by four policemen, who took him despite his protestation of innocence into a nearby shop and started pummelling him and hitting him all over his body. Rabbi Tiran said that he would cooperate and would not resist but the beating continued for a few minutes, with a sadistic policeman jumping on his knee and causing it to bleed for hours afterwards.

“I came back after a long day’s work, tired, and tried not to attract attention,” Rabbi Tiran recalls. “I went in the area which was the quietest, not where all the people were. One of the policeman, the local chief, decided to extend the empty space. He didn’t tell people to disperse, he just ran after me and other people there. He decided to disperse us by using punches and knee pads. I explained to him that I want to go home but he continued. He thought I was part of the demonstration because I wore a hat and jacket.

“After 30 seconds of this persecution, I turned around to him and said that ‘You’re using unreasonable force.’ He saw this as resistance, grabbed me and throttled me, pushing me against the iron trellis of a nearby store.

“The abuse continued for 5-6 minutes. From the moment they pulled me into the store, I screamed as I felt my life was in danger. I cried out that I would cooperate with them, I said this nine times, but they didn’t stop.” Tiran was repeatedly punched while on the ground, including kicks to his groin and other parts of his body. He was dragged out by his hair and taken into custody.

Tiran claims that he was not in any way associated with the demonstration but “police saw that my strangling had been caught on camera and if I saw their names, they would be implicated. Later when they took me to the police wagon, a policeman tried to calm me and said “you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Somebody threw a stone at a policeman, everyone was agitated and you were the scapegoat.”

Tiran’s lawyer, Eyal Abulafia, says that the police took him into a store to try and evade cameras. “We see that they are talking about cameras, they look around and search for them. The cameras were infra-red in a dark store and they didn’t see them.”

Despite repeated demands for a police internal investigation, no such investigation has occurred.

Israeli police responded to the accusations, claiming that “a police force was alerted to a disturbance of hundreds of protesters near a cellphone store in Bnei Brak. The force found them using stones, blocks, crowbars, burning boxes and fireworks. Some police were hurt by projectiles. Police arrested one rioter and took him into a store as he was using force and opposing arrest. Reasonable force was used to overcome the person and handcuff him. Claims about the conduct of the police will be investigated by the relevant officials.”

Unfortunately, the police behavior in Israel, vis-a-vis their behavior towards ultra-Orthodox, is very bad, and ripe with excessive force, and police brutality. They seem to operate with impunity, knowing that they will get away with their despicable conduct.

Looks like excessive force to me, 4 officers to one person punching him after he was subdued?

Two years ago after the police beat up wedding guests at Giva’at Z’ev MK Smotrich called for a Knesset inquiry to be set up to examine the systematic police brutality against Chareidim. The idea got no further because it was opposed by MK Pindrus of Degel!
Unfortunately, most of the UTJ Chavrei Knesset seem to think that they have Chareidi voters in their pocket and are able to ignore them. The rare exception to this is MK Meir Porush who consistently fights for the community.

And this is all done by a Jewish police force in a Jewish state.

Atheist Thedore Herzl’s wish came true in full color that we should become a state and a nation like all the Goyim.

Time for a wake up call to see the Sinas Yisroel from secular Jews to Frum Yidden.

Those of you still thinking that Jews are safe in a Jewish state here you see the evilness of the Zionist state.

Police brutality is NEVER acceptable in a so-called “democratic” country. The hatred the chilonim have towards chareidim is deplorable. But really it’s their superiors who are responsible for allowing those under them to use such vicious brutality. They sit in the comfort of their office enjoying how this all enfolds. The chilonim treat Frum people worse than the Arabs do.

No doubt the pleasant attitude of the shotrim, and the pleasant way they interact with others, is just more proof that the medina – contrary to the extremists’ opinion – is, and was always, the aschalta degeulah. The only way to explain the extreme beauty of it all is to say that the medina, from it’s onset to the present day, is aschalta degeulah! That’s for sure! You can’t deny it! Hava Nagilah, everyone!

now thats what i call ארץ ישראל נקנה ביסורים (said tongue in cheek)
really disgusting, they dont have to answer to anyone, hence they continue with over the top brutality. if they were personally responsible or were fined personally $5000.00 each theyd think twice before acting like animals. the fact one of the policeman was hit with a rock doest authorize them to go off the rails like seen in the video.
the israeli system is generally stacked against the charedim. the courts the police.
at most theyll receive the proverbial slap on the wrist and a small fine which is why they continue year after year with this abuse theirs no deterrence factor .

Calling the Zionist police Nazis is actually an insult to Nazis. At least the Nazis were goyim so they had no natural affinity towards the foreign Jews they brutalized and worse. But the Zionist police are supposedly Jews in the putatively “Jewish” so-called “State.

Chazal said it: The hate of a non-Torah Jew towards a Jew is greater than the hate of Esav towards a Jew.

These uniformed barbarous thugs could not possibly be Jews! Either the zionist regime hires arabs as shotrim, or some biological error must have happened in their ancestry.

Funny – no one question the hooligans that demonstrate and disrupt the peaceful lives of others. They have so much time on their hands which they use that to make demonstrations over every silly thing.

It does not look good when these demonstrators are in fact hooligans.

Contrary to some people’s vivid imagination, Israeli police are trained to professional standards and so have a חזקת כשרות.

Unfortunately, my experience of Yidden in Bnei Brak is that many cannot be trusted to keep the law of the land, and unfortunately, this includes senior Rabbonim that I have spoken to. If these are the role models that are youngsters have in their communities, then their חזקת כשרות has to be developed, despite their poor role models.

All Israeli Charedim need to be beat until they learn how to live like normal human beings. They are responsible for the culture that allows rioting and damage of a cell phone store. Or interrupting the building of a light rail. Beat them good until they learn their lesson. It’s doing them a favor.
