NEW YORK (Yaakov M / VINnews) — Whoopi Goldberg apologized for suggesting that innocent students who attended Turning Point USA’s summit were Nazis.

This was the seond time in two days that The View apologized to the pro-Trump right wing group, after spreading vicious lies.
On Monday, Goldberg falsely accused TPUSA of allowing neo-Nazis to enter their event.
“You let them in and you knew what they were, so you are complicit,” she said.
She later issued a (lame) clarification, claiming that her “point was more metaphorical.”

On Wednesday, co-host Sara Haines read a legal note apologizing for falsely lumping TPUSA with neo-Nazis outside the summit, despite no evidence of any connection.
Despite Haines’ apology, TPUSA blasted Goldberg for remaining silent and not retracting her remarks.
“The View has issued yet another formal correction to TPUSA and its students LIVE on air. The apology was issued by Sara Haines. Whoopi remained silent and has not retracted her comments that TPUSA ‘metaphorically’ embraced ‘Nazis,’” tweeted TPUSA on Wednesday.

On Thursday Goldberg finally apologized, although many would consider it pretty weak.
“In Monday’s conversation about Turning Point USA, I put the young people at the conference in the same category as the protesters outside, and I don’t like it when people make assumptions about me and it’s not any better when I make assumptions about other people, which I did,” said Goldberg. “So my bad. I’m sorry.”
The statement downplayed her egregious behavior, she was not “making assumptions” about other people, and it was not “her bad”.
She was falsely accusing sincere attendees of being vicious Nazis.

Making matters worse, many claim that the protesters were not Nazis at all, but rather left-wing lunatics dressed up as Nazis, trying to stir up controversy and make Turning Point USA look like Nazi extremists.

Why does VINNews feel the need to add the words “Humiliating” to this news title? We all know what this woman stands for and she has said much worse than this in the past and will continue doing so, and her apology means nothing, zero. However, why do we need to rub it in?
