Astonishing Success As Refuah Helpline Reaches Record-Setting $6,300,000 During Crucial ‘Results’ Campaign

17

In a week when the Chareidi community has come under attack from outside forces, Klal Yisroel again showed what makes us special and unique, banding together to raise the astronomical sum of 6.3 million dollars to benefit Refuah Helpline and Cholei Yisroel relying on the organization for support.

The 36-hour campaign saw over 800 teams raise money from over 21,000 individual donors. The cause itself did not need much promotion as every Yid knows someone who was assisted by this incredible organization during their most difficult hours.

“We set a record goal of $5,000,000 and thought that even that number is very ambitious,” said Yoel Fried from FriedCo. Media who managed the campaign’s marketing and public relations work. “But the number kept on rising faster than we could keep up. It’s amazing to see how far Klal Yisroel is willing to go for patients and their families.”

Refuah Helpline, founded and led by the renowned Mrs. Landau from Monroe, has dozens of caseworkers on full time payroll, as well as a large team of research and support staff that guide and assist every patient throughout their ordeal. As this campaign is designed to cover the organization’s entire operating budget, every donation has a direct impact on sick people, and the donors’ generosity showed that they understand this well.

In addition to the financial impact, the campaign also offered an emotional boost to the Refuah team, showing them that Klal Yisroel understands and values their hatzolas nefashos work. Even with the campaign complete, donations are still continuing to stream in on the campaign site.

With the days of Selichos upon us, it is hoped that this overwhelming collective tzedakah will be of merit to all of Klal Yisroel and bring all donors a year full of health.

Mi k’amchu Yisroel!

Wonder how the NYT would report on this. The poor and uneducated Hasidics able to pull off such million dollar campaigns… They’d never shine a lot on the Chesed that exists by us, and by us only.

I’m so proud to Hasidic!

Opening a refuah fundraising article with “In a week when the Chareidi community has come under attack from outside forces,” is in poor journalistic taste.

yes we are special, unique in giving for charity?

As if the rest of the world does not donate millions for the poor and sick. American Red Cross, the salvation army, Habitat for humnity and many others.

Everyone else does not have to be bad for us to be good. we are good, even great!! but Charity DOES exist in the rest of the world

Many billionaires donated all their fortunes for charity, Bill Gates & Warren Buffet are just 2 examples of many. do you know of any Frum millionaires who donated 100% of their fortune to charity?

Perhaps Refuah can buy failing Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn. Easily raise the money in the Kollel and with an IPO…
