Video footage shows the man walking on the sidewalk, when he is approached by the woman, who then appears to say something to him before knocking off his Streimel and Yarmulke.

According to Boro Park Shomrim, the woman was first attempting to proselytize him. When he showed no interest and asked her to leave him alone, is when she turned violent.

According to the report, she called him an “****ing Jew” before she assaulted him.

Boro Park Shomrim conducted a search for the woman Motzei Shabbos, after which she was taken into custody by the NYPD.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams tweeted about the incident, saying “These outrageous attacks on our Jewish community won’t be tolerated, not in our city.  I want to thank our NYPD officers for their quick response to these acts of anti-Semitic hatred. We will keep our streets safe.”

Someone should have thrown a T-shirt on her right before her arrest that read ” I support Trump and was a proud participant of Jan 6 capitol riot”. Then, it would be longer than just one day custody released on bail.

Why must every crime be spun to satisfy the narrative. It gets tiring. There are people who are simply nasty and evil, that’s all.

I understand he didn’t want to look at her for the way she was dressed and I commend him for that, but you still have to use your seichel these days and NEVER turn your back on someone, especially when they appear to be an unstable meshigina. It’s not like she snuck up on him like in most of these other attacks. He knew she was there. Good thing she didn’t use a knife or some other weapon.

A slap on the wrist will not prevent this from happening again, and make no mistake, it will happen again. We need to be more proactive and respond ourselves when confronted with this behavior or they will believe we are easy targets. Next time, whack her back.

Someone threw your streimel off your head, if it really bothers you then learn from it. It doesn’t feel good. Yes in this case you are the victim but in other cases you might be the bully or maybe sometimes you treat those beneath you with disdain and disrespect. Maybe you’re not throwing someone’s hat on the floor but there are many ways to be completely disrespectful and still be within the parameters of the law.

This isn’t just a hate crime, this is a crime against the Heiliga Streimal. Our Elter Zaidelach went through thousands of years of persecution so we can spend 5,000$ on something that cost 5 rubles to produce ..oy oy oy oy oy. If I was a rich man yadda yadda yadda.
