BORO PARK (VINnews) — A Jewish man in Boro Park was assaulted on Shabbos afternoon as he walked to Shul.
Video footage shows the man walking on the sidewalk, when he is approached by the woman, who then appears to say something to him before knocking off his Streimel and Yarmulke.
According to Boro Park Shomrim, the woman was first attempting to proselytize him. When he showed no interest and asked her to leave him alone, is when she turned violent.
According to the report, she called him an “****ing Jew” before she assaulted him.
Boro Park Shomrim conducted a search for the woman Motzei Shabbos, after which she was taken into custody by the NYPD.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams tweeted about the incident, saying “These outrageous attacks on our Jewish community won’t be tolerated, not in our city. I want to thank our NYPD officers for their quick response to these acts of anti-Semitic hatred. We will keep our streets safe.”
