3 Victims Of Samaria Terrorist Attack Named, Leaving 3 Widows And 11 Children

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israel released the names of the three victims of the murderous terror attack which occurred Tuesday morning. The three were murdered by a lone terrorist, who stabbed two of them to death and then stole a car and drove against traffic, killing another person by ramming his car. The terrorist then escaped on foot but was neutralized on scene.

The first name released was that of 50-year-old Tamir Avichai, a father of six from Kiryat Netafim, a community in Samaria. Avichai left a wife and six children aged 12 to 29.

Samaria regional head Yossi Dagan eulogized Avichai, stating that “this is a hard moment for all of us. We want to embrace the family and the entire community at this difficult hour.

“Tamir was a man who radiated goodwill, willingness to help others, a man of loving kindness, a Zionist in the true sense of the term. Whenever I met him he would greet me with his broad smile. All who knew him loved him. This bright joyous flower was uprooted by barbarians.”

Motty Ashkenazy (59) was a father of 3 and grandfather of 2 from Yavne. He worked as a supplier for the Amisragas gas company. His family described him as a “perfect husband and family man with a huge soul who always loved to help everyone and utilized every moment to envelop his family in warmth and love. This is a great loss to us and to all who knew him.”

The third victim was Mikhail Ladigin, a 36-year-old father of 2 from Bat Yam. Mikhail immigrated to Israel just 5 years ago. Some of his family members still live abroad and received notification of his tragic murder.

Bat Yam mayor Zvika Brot said that “we embrace Mikhail’s family which made Aliya to Israel five years ago. We are preparing to give his wife and two children full support including within the educational system.”
