WASHINGTON (Yaakov M / VINnews) — On Sunday, the White House Covid Czar downplayed the disturbing shortage of antibiotics and painkillers, while touting the Covid and flu vaccines.

In an interview with ABC news, Dr. Ashish Jha was asked about the shortage of amoxicillin and ibuprofen. He bizarrely replied that the medication “supply chain issue” has existed for decades.
His proof? Personal anecdotal experience in a hospital, not able to find certain medications.
His claim appears to be baseless. There is no indication of a nationwide medication shortage over the past decades. Apparently Dr. Jha does not realize that the local hospital running out of a drug is not a “supply chain crisis”.

Jha quickly changed the subject, saying “the good news is there are plenty of vaccines for flu and Covid.” Well that’s a relief.
Last week Jha made headlines by touting his profound theological knowledge, saying the reason ‘G-d gave us two arms’ is to get the flu jab in one and the Covid jab in the other.
Next time I have a headache and need medicine or my kid needs antibiotics, I guess we’ll have to make do with a fifth? Eighth? Tenth? Covid shot or spice it up with some flu for some fun. Mix and match

It has existed for decades. What we are seeing is that covid exacerbated existing problems, including drug shortages.
The FDA drug shortage list goes back to 2011.
