STATEN ISLAND (VINnews) — A 25-year-old man is in custody after he attacked a 32-year-old Jewish father and his 7-year-old son on Sunday.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM on Sunday afternoon.
The pair, who were wearing Yarmulkes at the time, were standing in front of Island Kosher on 2212 Victory Boulevard in Meiers Corners, when a black Ford Mustang with no license plate pulled up.
An then-unknown individual fired a BB gun at them from within the vehicle, before fleeing the scene.
The boy was grazed in the ear, while the father was struck in the chest. Both of the victims refused medical attention at the scene.
The NYPD has arrested 25-year-old Jason Kish in connection with the incident.
Kish has been charged with hate crime assault, acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, reckless endangerment and misdemeanor assault.
