JERUSALEM (VINnews) — There was tremendous joy among Bobov chasidim in Jerusalem after Rabbi Efrayim Fishel Yisrael Weinberger, a member of Bobov who also serves as a Magid Shiur at the Bobov chasidic yeshiva in Jerusalem, and his wife had a first baby boy – after 34 years of marriage.

Rabbi Weinberger came to Israel from Boro Park 11 years ago at the behest of his rebbe, who advised him that if he would immigrate to Israel he would merit having children.

Rabbi Weinberger has been active for many years encouraging other people who did not yet have children. He is a Ram at the Darkei Yosher yeshiva of Bobov.

Rabbi Weinberger’s bechor (firstborn son) was born at Laniado hospital in Netanya on Wednesday. May he be zoche legadlo le’Torah, Chupa and Maasim Tovim.

I’m very happy for Rabbi Weinberger, but he did not have this baby alone. Why does the article not mention his wife?

What a miracle. I’ve never before heard of a man giving birth to a son.

A modern example of what a rebbe can do for a follower. After 34 years of marriage most of us have grandchildren soon approaching the age of shiduchim.

Mazel Tov!
I’m trying hard to not be a yenta, but is this his first child or his first son? And how old is his wife of 34 years? (or is it not his first wife?)

There is actually another current article of an Israeli woman who gave birth via IVF 4 years after her husband died. So, take caution before putting forward such remarks, we would never want to cause pain to another Yid.
