On Friday, President Biden will present the Presidential Citizens Medal to 12 individuals in recognition of their “exemplary contributions to our democracy,” according to a White House official.
The recipients of the medal include seven police officials who were involved in defending the Capitol on January 6th, as well as three state and local officials who resisted efforts to overturn election results.
