WASHINGTON (Yaakov M / VINnews) — In a stunning twist, left-leaning CNN quoted a source who said that part of what prompted AG Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel was the White House misleading the public and withholding key information.

CNN cited a Justice official who said “the White House’s public statements earlier this week, offering an incomplete narrative about the classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president, reinforced the need for a special counsel.”
The story added, “The misleading statements created the impression that Biden’s team had something to hide, the official said.”
CNN appears to be referencing the Biden Administration initially failing to mention a second batch of documents discovered in December in Biden’s home, when it announced on Monday that classified documents were found in President Biden’s office in Washington.
In another bombshell piece, CNN said, “…the botched messaging strategy became more clear – when Americans learned that a second batch of classified material, also dating to Biden’s time as vice president, had been found in a search of his home in Delaware. This detail was communicated to the Justice Department on December 20. And yet the White House didn’t disclose that this week when it spoke about the initial documents found last year in an office Biden previously used at the Penn-Biden center in Washington. This made it look like it was willing to come clean to the DOJ but not the public.”
The story continued, “Not only did this make it look like Biden had something to hide, it set up the kind of drip, drip of disclosures guaranteed to supercharge a Washington scandal. And Biden’s bid Thursday to minimize the discovery of secret material in his garage – by saying it was locked to protect his beloved Corvette – didn’t exactly back up his earlier claim that Americans know he takes classified documents seriously.”
It appears that even leftist CNN, usually a reliable supporter of Biden (despite his many missteps and scandals), is having a tough time spinning the “Garage-gate” scandal. A president who stored classified documents in multiple locations, for several years after leaving office as VP, including a home garage which was accessible to son Hunter Biden who has ties to China, , is certainly scandalous.
At best, the optics are painfully bad. Or worse, depending on what Biden knew and whether he is telling the truth when he claims the documents were returned “immediately” (after 6 years), this may be an impeachable offense.
that’s how its supposed to be. the media holding elected officials accountable.
politics should not be like sports where you stick up for your team.

And now please self-reflect on why you found that “stunning” and only due to their inability to “spin” it, as opposed to their having a modicum of intellectual integrity.
It boils down
It seems like it boils down to this.
The only claim that has some truth is when the pro Biden Charles & Phineas folks will claim, Biden “cooperated” with the authorities after they were caught vs Trump who was uncooperative in turning it over.
In other words they both did the crime just trump as being Trump. Yes I know you guys always narrowly focus on these side issues and small crimes exmaning how cooperative one is vs the other. And oy vey the biggets crime is that you weren’t so fortchmcoing the heliga FBI. But you loose sight of the big picture. Here is what they both did.
They both took the archives that they shouldn’t have. Thats the crux of the crime. Both are guilty.
They both knew about it but kept quiet.
They both didn’t report it till forced.
And don;t you dare have the balls to lie and say oh Biden didn’t know about it for 7 years in two locations. Or oh Biden didn’t know about it till a week ago and reported it ASAP. Like it was a pure coincidnce that Biden found it exactly now. Who you fooling
