I went to one of those day cares as a kid in Kew Gardens Hills. Mrs. Rush, a non-Jew living right off Main Street, but almost all the kids were from frum families and she was great. This is terrible but I can’t imagine it will stop people from patronizing these businesses. The people running it are reputable and child care is tough with both parents working.
