WASHINGTON (Yaakov M / VINnews) — GOP Congressman Mike Lawler, who represents Monsey and surrounding Jewish communities in Rockland County, reaffirmed his support for yeshiva education in a very public setting.

Speaking on the floor of the House of Representatives, Lawyer praised the education of private schools and singled out yeshivas.
Lawler has been a close friend of the Orthodox Jewish community for many years.
In an endorsement letter before election day, a large group of askanim wrote that Lawler has set himself apart as one who “has proven himself a dedicated and committed representative of our community,” adding that he “provides anyone with his personal phone number and responds to calls 24 hours a day.”
“The assemblyman has offered assistance throughout many government agencies and beyond, including DMV, Department of Transportation, Health Department, School Districts, utility companies, even securing a release from a Brooklyn hospital for a baby who had to be transferred to Philadelphia, as well as getting kosher food into hospitals and prisons, and so much more,” the endorsement read.
“Most recently, Mike publicly and strongly defended our mosdos hachinuch against vicious attacks by some in the media, and wholeheartedly condemned the gezeiras hachinuch in the strongest terms,” it added.
Gwsterner is proof positive for a better secular education.
Now aguda is kissing up to him but we’re helping toeiva maloney behind the scenes
Can he please stop playing around
He supports LGBTQ rights the most possible, although he promised our community, especially the rabonim he visited on the campaign trail, that he will fight their rights.
We need leaders that can make a difference, not just make a show on the floor.
His tweets lately in support of all the gay movements is outrageously disgusting and he should be condemned.
Anyone who openly supports toievah should not be fanned over. No matter how much he professes to support yeshiva education
Yasher kochacha Mr. Lawler for speaking the truth about our heilger yeshivos.
