(VINnews) — Joe Rogan has received a firestorm of backlash on social media, after making comments on his podcast in defense of Ilhan Omar, as well as controversial remarks about Jews and money.
Rogan defended the right to say that Jews “are into money”, and in response, many pointed out that Omar went much further, suggesting that Jews use money to control politicians and buy support for Israel.
The group of people who have expressed outrage include New York Congressman Ritchie Torres, Congressman Josh Gottheimer, Dov Hikind, ADL chief Jonathan Greenblatt, Joel Petlin, MSNBC host Mehdi Hassan, Editor of National Review Online Phillip Klein, Ted Deutch, the CEO of the American Jewish Committee, and others.
Joe Rogan said: “the idea that Jews are not into money is ridiculous. That’s like saying Italians aren’t into pizza.”
Newsflash: The notion that interest in money is uniquely Jewish is Antisemitic garbage that should never be fed to an audience of millions.

I can't believe that I am agreeing with Mehdi Hasan on anything, let alone on Antisemitism.
Shame on you, @joerogan https://t.co/GdVH8G96Xs
