The hotel will be a great kosher option for the local community, as well as politicians and askanim who work in the capital district, and travelers headed to various locations upstate, in Vermont, Canada, the Adirondacks, and elsewhere.

According to a statement, the hotel located at 300 broadway “is proud to present a kosher breakfast all year long under the auspices of ‘518 kosher’ by Howard Goldberg, which is
under the Vaad of Albany under the leadership of Rabbi Moshe Bomzer.

The hotel will also host minyanim with a Sefer Torah.

The hotel was recently purchased by the Oiring group under the leadership of Morris
Oiring. Mr. Oiring said that his mission is “to make Judaism cool again with a hip vibe and a yeshivish feel.”

See below a video of Mr. Oiring describing the exciting development with the Liska Rebbe, who gave him a bracha for this valuable endeavor.

Last summer I stayed a night at a holiday inn in Anchorage Alaska. Guess what? Almost the entire breakfast was kosher as food had good standard kosher labels like OU. Coffee, milk, sugar, yogurts, packaged cakes, whole uncut fruit, juices, water etc. Also glad EF has moved along to parve territory where I don’t care whether or not he claims he is representing me.

Nice for regular Jews, but will Friedlander himself eat there? After all, the sign in his video says clearly, not Chalav Yisrael, and not Pas Yisrael. Or will tuna bagels like him eat there anyway?
