The youth perpetrated the terror attack three weeks ago in the City of David, in which IDF officer Nadav Weinberg was seriously injured. Weinberg succeeded in shooting the terrorist and preventing him from continuing his attack. On Friday Weinberg regained consciousness and is communicating with family and friends.

The indictment states that the accused decided to commit a terror attack against Jews and watched video clips in order to learn how to use a pistol, which he had taken from his older brother, and how to fire off rounds.

The accused took the pistol with two cartridges which his brother had left in a black garbage bag in the basement and travelled to the City Of David neighborhood in an attempt to find Jewish passersby.

When he saw a Jewish-looking family, he cocked his gun, aimed and fired a number of rounds. A father and son were injured, the son is still hospitalized and recovering.

The indictment mentions a number of crimes including attempted murder during terrorist act, using a weapon for terror and carrying an illegal weapon.
