JERUSALEM (VINnews) — A touching moment took place during a military ceremony which took place recently in Israel. The Elite IDF Oz brigade were receiving their berets, a significant stage in their becoming an operational combat unit. During the ceremony, the Brigadier-General noticed a boy with Down’s syndrome who was trying to reach his brother who is serving in the elite Mista’arvim [covert commandos] unit known as Duvdevan.

The boy was making noise and disturbing and family members tried to prevent him from reaching his brother and interrupting the ceremony, but the Brigadier got up from his seat near the speaker’s stand, approached the boy, shook his hand – and asked him: “Would you like to give your older brother the beret?”, despite this being in breach of the ceremonial protocol.
The brigadier general led him to the square and he got to present his brother with the red beret.

Touching
Beautiful.
The correct t term is ” child with downs syndrome ” or boy with downs syndrome. Thank you .
