JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In a dramatic rescue which took place Wednesday evening at a tower in Ramat Gan, police special units succeeded in preventing a man threatening to jump to his death from a 19th-floor apartment.

Psychologists and couselors engaged the man in conversation while the special units used ropes and other special equipment to scale the building. Members of the units surprised the man by entering his apartment while at the same time arriving from above and below to rescue him.
