NEW YORK (VINnews) — Jews in Iran, the scene of the miracle of Purim 2,500 years ago, gathered to celebrate the festival together with spiritual leader Rabbi Yehuda Garmi. The festivities included special activities for children as well as a communal reading of the Megilla. Rabbi Garmi also continued his custom of visiting the tombs of Mordechai and Esther, located in Hamadan southwest of Tehran.
