FLATBUSH (VINnews) — A cell phone store in the heart of Flatbush was held up at gunpoint on Tuesday during daylight hours. According to reports, the robber fled with thousands of dollars in merchandise before being caught by NYPD.

The T-Mobile phone store located at the corner of Coney Island Ave and Avenue M) was held up around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, after the suspect fled in a vehicle, police cars converged on the store and were able to chase the perpetrator speeding towards the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
Once the ground police could no longer follow him, aviation units helped in the pursuit.
The vehicle was eventually caught and suspect apprehended near Crown Heights.
