JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday announced a delay in his judicial overhaul plan, saying he wanted to give time to seek a compromise over the contentious package with his political opponents.

Netanyahu made the announcement after two days of large protests against the plan.
“When there’s an opportunity to avoid civil war through dialogue, I, as prime minister, am taking a timeout for dialogue,” Netanyahu said in a nationally televised address. Striking a more conciliatory tone, he said he was determined to pass a judicial reform but called for “an attempt to achieve broad consensus.”
This is sad
If he had called for compromise in the beginning he would have been a statesman, now he’s just a loser.
The minority knows that it can only be relevant with the unaccountable judiciary that is in place now which is why they’re shutting down the country. Netanyahu needs to follow through with these much needed reforms.
A few broke into US Capitol and the leftists went nuts , including some hypocrites here who love the mobs running amok in Israel. When are people going to understand that the Left threaten violence against opposition as if they own it ? Remember Maxine , Schumer , Holder and supporters of BLM goons.
Unlike the armchair generals who post and pontificate from the comfort and safety of their dens in Golus, Netanyahu did the responsible thing to avoid Israel coming apart at the seams. If what he did is so heinous to you, make aliyah and vote in the next election so that his slim majority in Knesset becomes greater.
The true historical dictators for the last 100 years of the history of the Jewish community in Eretz Yisroel were the leftists they invent new definition of democracy in order to hold on to their absolute power forever. This is not an issue
religious or secular.it is an issue of a small group of people who want to have absolute power over an entire society.
Bibi’s judgement in handling the whole saga was terrible. He caves now when the country is on the verge of a civil war.
How we got to this point, indicates that the Likud should begin to look at a replacement for Bibi. He governs on ego and retribution and has lost sight of the interests of the country. He has lied to so many of his colleagues over the years, that no one trusts anything he says or commits himself to.
We can still have a right wing government without Bibi.
bibi the caver, compromise with Soros backed liberals is THEM winning.
Since the main reason given on the streets is that they fear for women’s and minority rights, this could be a time for Haredim and religious Jews to reflect on why the seculars are so scared of them. For example, I have read many times on these talkbacks that Israel should be a halachic state, and whoever doesn’t agree can leave.
The left is united all over the world, the left are a silent majority and they are losing.
The left is willing to fight united and have all levels of governemnt protecting them, the opposite is true for the right.
The lefts is called is protesters, the right are termed as violent fascists.
He Caved…the evil left will not stop
Let me hear what is the left willing to compromise on? We only hear yelling? When did they ever compromise with us when we were the minority?
