NEW YORK (VINnews) — The world of chasidic music mourns the untimely passing of Michoel Shnitzler, one of the most prolific and outstanding performers and composers over the last 40 years. Michoel released 15 albums in his lifetime with over 150 original songs and sang at thousands of weddings, providing the joyous backdrop for many Jewish couples who got married over the past generation.

Michoel had just returned from Israel after Pesach when he suffered a massive heart attack on Friday afternoon at around 6 PM while visiting the Monsey area. Hatzolah paramedics did everything they could to save his life but unfortunately he passed away just prior to Shabbos at the age of 62.
Most of Michoel’s songs were written in Yiddish by some of the greatest chasidic music composers who wanted Michoel’s interpretations of their work to be publicized. After a successful singing career, Michoel started recording chasidic music including works by Pinki Weber as well as Lipa Schmeltzer, Motti Ilowitz and Hershy Weinberger.
Michoel was blessed with a rare vocal ability, a powerful and stirring voice which moved all of his listeners. In some of the songs which he recorded he himself can be heard crying and moved to tears by the themes of the songs.
Michoel was able to strengthen and gladden many people through his singing and many others who had weakened in their religious beliefs were moved to rediscover their heritage.
The funeral of Michoel will be held Sunday 10 AM at Har shalom cemetery in Airmont NY 44 Hillside Ave.
May his memory be blessed.
Michoel A”H was one of the very few singers that would make me weep from his many warm songs. I’m not a crazy music guy but his songs were something very special. הארץ און וארמקייט
BDH. He sang by our wedding. What a special person. Sang so warm and hartzig. Old style. May his memory be a blessing and may we soon be united in Yerushaleim with Moshiach iy”H

This weeks parsha it says that After Hashem took his children VAYIDOM ARON and aron was quiet . Cause Hashem Runs the world and he has his cheshbon on every move
we will miss Michoel but his music and hartz will be with us for a long time
it’s in a daily bases that I would just listen to his music on way home from work to relax and get inspired with his Yiddish tam music
he went through a very hard life last few years but kept strong and inspiring may his Neshoma have an aliyah in sechus of all the Simcha he gave us .
Unfortunately R Michoel’s brothers (a few) and his father died young and sudden. He had open heart surgery in the past and was under the care of a cardiologist.
Let’s stop finding excuses for the malach hamuvas and accept gods painful decree
As if no one every died suddenly before the Covid vaccine. What ignorance!
BDE ❤️
BDE. Such a young man. This should be a reminder for middle aged people to see a cardiologist to have a stress test to look for any preventable risk factors.
You might also consider that he just completed a 12 hour flight. There are risks with long flights, especially with long periods of not moving around.
Any indication that it was the cause or are u just obsessed
Absolutely am in agreement with Nechama. THis tragedy, just another in a continuous pattern of similar tragedies, consistent with the obvious. Of course Hashem is the only One running what is happening to and with everyone and everything in the world, but there is no denying that the murderous ‘vaccine’ which is a death sentence, sooner or later, to whoever got it, rachmana litzlan, is the immediate cause of this terribly tragic loss.
You’re obsessed, go see a doctor !!!
And Moster, and Hillary.
Everyone knows that all these deaths are due to the vaccine. Hashem Yerachem.
Unfortunately, there are still too many Yidden SLEEPING ABOUT THIS and not informing themselves of the TRUTH ! There is enough information on the internet alone, ,to make the entire hoax and lie about the so-called ‘vaccine’, crystal clear.. Tiera Yidden, effent eira oigen !!
