NEW YORK (VINnews) — In a moving assembly which took place at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Rabbi Meir Tzvi Bergman, the son-in-law of the late Ponovezh Rosh Yeshiva Rav Shach, spoke in honor of Adirei HaTorah, honoring the students of Lakewood yeshiva.

Rabbi Bergman spoke of the “heartbreaking” situation in which many young men and women cannot find their zivvug. He gave a special segula from his father-in-law Rav Shach- who told people that if they would say Birkas Hamazon from a siddur it would solve all of their problems, stating the segula both in Yiddish and in English.

Rabbi Bergman (93), who is the head of Rashbi yeshiva in Bnei Brak, is unfortunately in the midst of the shiva for his son, who passed away as he was on the plane to the US. For this reason participants at the event in Philadelphia sang for the rav without an orchestra.

In a show of unity lkovod hatorah two torah gaints joined up despite their difference of political views with R Bergman on degel and R malkiel on peleg. This was a true kiddush hashem.

This is not meant to detract form the vital message delivered by R Bergman rather to add to the beauty of both giants

In yet another almost missed show of kiddush hashem, it well known that R malikel shlita is a supporter of peleg while Rabbi Bergman is the head of degel, its enemy. Yet r malkiel and R Bergman both sat side by side in an honor beffitng each one putting aside differences of opinion for torah and its beauty
