NEW YORK (VINnews) — Several actors have come out against Israel, and are now experiencing cutbacks in their personal careers due to their stand. Susan Sarandon accused Israel of war crimes, claimed that the massacre occurred “in a certain context” and said that Jews are “finally getting a taste of how it feels to be Muslim in America”.

In the wake of her controversial statements, Sarandon has now been dropped by Hollywood agency UTA.

Melissa Barrera, who stars in the revival o horror franchise Scream, has been fired from the upcoming Scream 7, due to the Spyglass Media Group interpreting her pro-Palestine social media posts as “antisemitic”.

Last month, Barrera posted on her Instagram Story: “I too come from a colonized country” alongside a Mexican flag emoji – as well as “Palestine WILL be free”, followed by a Palestinian flag. She concluded the Story with the quote: “They tried to bury us, they didn’t know we were seeds.”

At the same time other actors, mainly Jewish ones, have made a strong stand in favor of Israel.

In a clip released by actress Ginnifer Goodwin ( a Jewish actress from Memphis), who is famous for her voice dubbings in animated movies, she decides to be the voice of Raz Asher, a 4-year-old girl who is being held captive in Gaza. Goodwin has championed the case of Asher, her mother Doron and her 2-year-old sister Aviv on her social media pages, presenting their pictures and demanding their immediate return.

She wasn’t fired for pro Palestinian statements. She was fired for antisemitic statements. And we wonder how we are losing the media war?!?!

Should have put a picture of her how she really looks which would describe her perfectly. Like a real meshugana. Not some photo where she’s all made up at some awards show.

Those are not pro Palestinian statements. If anti-Zionism isn’t antisemitism, why call antisemitism pro Palestinian?

It’s amazing how this tragedy has shined a light on all the Jew haters worldwide in America and especially in hollywood. What an eye-opener I myself before becoming religious was a big Pink Floyd fan especially of the deranged anti-semite Rodger Waters.. obviously before he showed his true colors. I think that’s the breaking point whether it be a musician or an actor or an artist tells you that they hate you because you are in Israeli or AKA JEW is what they really mean. If that’s not enough to wake you up then you’re just a dead Soul walking..

    > “I too come from a colonized country”

Seems like whitewashing the fact that it was her ancestors and her “people” (and by extension of her own post, even she herself) who are the colonizers both in Mexico and she herself in the United States. She even retains her colonizer name instead of being ashamed of it. Then again, it could be she just sympathizes with the “colonized” Aztecs who themselves ritually slaughtered annually thousands of their enemies’ civilians.
