The group dedicated their ascent to the summit for the sake of Israel and the captives in the hands of Hamas.

Jews hold the Torah scroll near the peak of Mt. Everest
Apparently though they are not the first Jews to ascend Everest with a Torah scroll. Last year, a group from West Hampstead in London led by Chabad Rabbi David Katz ascended to Everest, even spending the Shavuot holiday on the mountain.

Misleading. They didn’t summit with the Torah. That’s not the summit. Secondly, this is disrespectful to the Torah.
Fantastic! Amazing.meaningful. Real breaking news.should be on front page of every paper
Exposing a Sefer Torah to extreme elements, can cause the letters to crack or fall off, rendering the scroll, Pasul.
with all due respects, I think sitting and learning in a good yeshiva environment is better….
Why is one section of the klaf backwards?
