Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish official in the U.S., has faced strong backlash due to his outspoken criticisms of Israel’s conduct during the current conflict with Hamas in Gaza.
Videos shared to X, formerly Twitter, show that the booing continued during his speech, as Schumer chants, “Bring them home” in reference to the remaining hostages still being held in Gaza. About half of the Israeli hostages were freed during a temporary ceasefire in November, and the fate of those still in captivity remains unclear.
A photographer who calls himself Viral News NYC managed to capture some of the boos on video and shared them on social media. Additionally, as noted by the Israel Files X account,Schumer was also caught mispronouncing the name of Sagi Dekel-Chen, a Hamas hostage from Nir Oz who has yet to see his third child, born in January while he was in captivity.
Rough day for Senator Charles Schumer at the Israel Day Parade today. Participants booed Schumer en masse and held up signs like this one about Schumer turning his back on the Jewish People.
To make matters worse for himself, Schumer completely mispronounced the name of Israeli… pic.twitter.com/b4G20VPKpk

In March, Schumer outrageously called for new elections in Israel and labeled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an “obstacle to peace,” claiming that he had “lost his way.” Netanyahu dismissed Schumer’s criticism, calling the comments “ridiculous.”
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell also reacted sharply to Schumer’s criticism, stating that it was “hypocritical for Americans who hyperventilate about interference in our own democracy to call for the removal of a democratically elected leader.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson said Schumer’s call for new elections was “inappropriate.” Even Benny Gantz, a political rival of Netanyahu and member of Israel’s war cabinet, said that Schumer’s remarks were “counterproductive.”
This is the problem with these protests, why in the world is he there? He has already chosen to be against israel. Are you going to bring bernie next. This is why democrats are taking advantage of the jewish vote and not catering to it. Start banning these people and stop giving them honors. Stop giving “aliyahs” so to speak to those who should not get them.
Boooed? He should have been driven out of the area. Mo Jew should vote if support this anti Jewish Jew
I am sure no more organizations will invite him to speak at their events.
Lets just hope people remember his actions for his next Senate run! and vote him OUT! him, Nadler, and the other Schmuck (can not remember the worms name from California)
Who let the slob speak ?
Oh, I wish I’d had seen him there, I would have had a number of decidedly non-yeshivish words for him. He a two-faced political hack who cares more about saving his job than being the Shomer Yisroel. He’s a complete phony and a backstabber. As my mother AH used to say in Yiddish: “Er ken mir kishen in hintin.”
But the Shomer Yishmael is a Democrat and as being a Democrat, all is a-ok and fair game!
Chuckles is a JINO, his Rabbi is a lesbian anti Israel pro Hamas useful idiots who said kiddush for the Hamas fighters who died on Oct 7 th..
Enjoy your jam and cheese Chucky now GTFO of here
This Irishman says SHANDA! You PHONY shomer yishmael! SHANDA!
