HORRIFIC VIDEO: Man Attempts to Kidnap Jewish Kids in Broad Daylight

STAMFORD HILL, UK (VINnews) A man has been arrested after attempting to kidnap Jewish baby and child in the UK, in what some claim was a targeted antisemitic attack. The terrifying incident was caught on video, and took place Thursday on the second day of Shavuos, just before noon.

In the CCTV footage, posted by Stamford Hill Shomrim, the father is seen pushing his children in a baby carriage near the Lubavitch House. A masked man attempted to grab away the baby carriage, but the father resisted.

Shomrim said: “Clear CCTV footage shows the terrifying moments of the attempted kidnap of a Jewish baby. He was approached by a white male suspect, approximately in his 40s, who attempted to forcefully take the buggy. The very brave boy resisted and did not let go of the buggy. When the boy resisted, the suspect assaulted him by pulling his payos and throwing off his kippah.

They added, “The boy’s cries for help alerted nearby individuals, causing the suspect to release him. The boy then ran away in shock immediately after the incident.”

According to the Jewish Chronicle, the Metropolitan Police said bystanders had detained the man, and he was arrested by police once they arrived. The suspect was later released on bail.

The attack was believed by witnesses to be a “racist attack.”

“The investigation is ongoing and the motives of the suspect will be kept under consideration,” said the Hackney Police Station.
