The Israeli was later as Amnon Muchtar, 67, from Petah Tikva, according to reports in the Hebrew media.

After Muchtar was shot, Palestinian Red Crescent medics transferred him to an Israeli ambulance for treatment in critical condition, but he later died of his wounds. His car was later torched by local citizens.

It was unclear what Muchtar was doing in Qalqilya, a town adjacent to Greater Israel but under PA jurisdiction. Israelis are barred from entering West Bank areas controlled by the Palestinian Authority.

Despite the ban, some Israelis continue to enter PA cities where prices for goods and services are significantly cheaper than in Israel.

Muchtar, who leaves behind a wife and five children, owned and operated a vegetable stall in his hometown, and according to his family, would often purchase his produce from Palestinian traders in Qalqilya.

“He was a righteous man murdered by terrorists,” his son Nir told journalists, adding that his father loved visiting Qalqilya and knew the people there.

“Everyone loved him and he would help everyone. It’s tragic that it ended like this, he didn’t think they would do that to him there.”

This is the second attack on an Israeli this week in Qalqilya. On Thursday a 70-year-old man was robbed and attacked in the town. He later suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead after being brought to the Eliyahu checkpoint nearby.

This murder shows again and again that we must expel Arabs from our land of Israel in order to live in peace. That was what the G-D of Israel wrote in the Torah. Apparently we do not listen.
