(VINnews) — An antisemitic song on Spotify that claims to connect Israel to Osama Bin-Laden has been removed from the platform–a win for pro-Israel advocates, however the damage may already be done. “Free Palestine” was released in 2014 and has been streamed over 1.9 million times on Spotify and 3.5 million times on YouTube.

According to the Jewish Chronicle, the viciously antisemitic lyrics say “Jews ain’t bad but the Zionists are evil, even the rabbis know the Zionists are crazy”. It claims “Israel wants every Palestinian to bleed” and states that the Jewish state is “killing newborn babies”.

In addition, the pro-BDS song, performed by Safeer Hussain aka Ambassador MC, links Israel to Nazism, and Al Qaeda’s 9/11 attack: “’Cause what happened in America on 9/11 happens in Palestine 24/7.”

The apparent banning of the song comes after more than two years of lobbying from We Believe in Israel (WBII) and the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

Other songs which the groups have called out, yet still remain available on Spotify, are Lowkey’s Long Live Palestine rap series which calls for the globalization of the intifada, praise the Yemeni Houthis and claims that “resistance isn’t terrorism”.
