BBC: Witnesses Desperately Alerted Police to Rooftop Sniper Before Attempted Trump Assassination

BUTLER. PA – Witnesses desperately tried to alert police about a sniper armed with a rifle who was crawling on a roof just moments before gunfire erupted at the Trump rally on Saturday.

“You could clearly see him with a rifle,” a man wearing a MAGA 2020 hat told BBC News. “We were pointing at him. The police were down there running around on the ground.

“We were like, ‘Hey, man, there’s a guy on the roof with a rifle.’ And the police were like, ‘Huh?’ They didn’t know what was going on.”

The witness claimed that he and his friends attempted to warn the police for several minutes as Secret Service members observed but chose not to take action until between five and eight shots were fired, which he said “100%” originated from the man with the rifle.

“He was up there for a couple of minutes, absolutely at least three or four minutes. We were pointing at him for the Secret Service, who were looking at us from the top of the barn. They were watching us the whole time.”
