WOODBOURNE (VINnews) — A dog escaped from its owner, and decided to visit the Woodbourne Shul–just in time for Shacharis! In a wild video, apparently taken Monday morning, the dog is seen running from its owner and heading inside the shul.

The next image shows a large minyan davening Shacharis in the crowded sanctuary. The large dog ran around the shul, and while people appeared to notice it, nobody seemed to flinch, and the dog did not seem to approach anyone specifically.
The congregation’s concentration and focus on prayers apparently was too strong to be deterred by the canine visitor.
The woman unflinchingly entered the shul building and retrieved her dog.
I’ll be the first to say Gillgul. You noticed he didn’t talk during Kaddish.
Obviously needed to hear a borchi!
The dog came for his Bark-Mitzvah.
He heard there was a chosson inside and followed the UF-RUF sounds.
The Gemara says that we should be kind to dogs because they didn’t whet their tongues against the Jews in Mitzrayim and didn’t bark during Makos Bechoros.
Obviously smelled the herring.
And maybe some leftover galle.
Gilgul
A moyfis from a Rebbe’ h
The dog did not bite anyone.
Pick the Rebbe you want to give credit.
Had a Jewish Soul!
Came in time for Kaddish!!
Holy Dog!
Everyone knows the Woodbourne Shule is “everybody’s Shule.”
Maybe he wanted to get a brucha from the Rebbuh, Rebbi Jungreis. Where was the Rebbuh when the dog entered??
As you can see from the video of people folding up their taleisim, the dog only came in at the tail-end of the davening. IF he wanted to bark omeyn to Birkas Ha-Shachar, it was fur naught….
Love the story–I’m a big dog fan. The story put a big smile on my face to start my day off.
That was a rough one!
Big deal.there is a dog in the white house that’s there almost 4 years and won’t leave
About 60 years ago I was on my way to shul one shabbos and our dog ran outside when I opened the door to leave. The dog followed me. I kept yelling at him to go home, but he wouldn’t listen. When I got to shul, I carefully opened the door to make sure the dog didn’t come in; I figured eventually he’d go home. But about ten minutes later, obviously someone else wasn’t so careful because in the middle of dovening, my dog came running up the isle straight to me. The entire shul burst into laughter. I grabbed his collar and took him to one of the classrooms in the Hebrew school. After shul was over, I let him out and we walked home.
The dog heard them lein the possuk in Mishpatim that we give the treif meat to the dog. (22:30) Dog thought they were handing out treif steak!
About fifty years ago a dog came into our Shul on Yom Kippur. Someone carried him out but he came back. This repeated itself about five times. I wasn’t really Frum then so I can’t remember if I thought Gilgul at the time but I do now.
Smart dog. He picked the right Shul. Since the Rabbi calls every Yid a big Tzaddik including Bernie Sanders he figured he could get an Aliyah.
The dog was a she, and was looking for the ezras noshim!
Is the dog’s owner Jewish?
Ohhhh boy! She has no idea how bad a dog he was. Wait till they call her first for their charidy campaign!
Maybe he wanted some chulent and kigel from the Rebbuh. Was there no chulent and kigel there???
What is the secret? They have so many people there and don’t even have a mikvah on site. Our dear Rav Fishbain is struggling to get a minyan together in a nicer town not too far away in White Lake. Wish we had such a crowd.
The lady yells “ you bad dog ! “ lol
Came for the hot dogs?
Word of the day: flinch: make a quick, nervous movement as an instinctive reaction to fear, pain, or surprise.
There were complaints that the shul food was a dog’s breakfast.
He wants to be Jewish.
B”H, all’s well that ends well.
The security should be improved at that Shul, with as locked door, and a code to enter.
Must be a slow news day.
