The snippet from a Breaking Entertainment News (BET) interview, part of a special called Black America Votes, that aired on Wednesday.
Biden said: “And so, it’s all about, it’s all about treating people with dignity. It’s about making sure that—look. I mean, for example, look at the heat I’m getting because I named uh, the secretary of defense, the Black man, I named Ketanji Brown, I mean, because of the people I’ve named.”
That is not what he said. He said because I named the Secretary of Defense, a black man. Because I named Ketanji Brown [to the Supreme Court, a black woman]. He is making a point that he is getting heat for naming a black man and a black woman to key appointments. He is not calling the Secretary of Defense “that black man.” This is misrepresenting the exchange.
Can’t imagine the reaction had Trump said this.
Biden has a history of racism, considers black people inferior. Decades of it.
