Nassau County,NY (VINnews)-After many stressful and difficult months for the community and a complex investigation, the Rockaway Nassau Safety Patrol (Shomrim) announced that a notorious and dangerous career criminal has been apprehended and is now in police custody. The suspect is responsible for hundreds of home burglaries throughout New York City and the Five Towns, many of which took place in Jewish communities in the Five Towns, Far Rockaway, and Brooklyn. Most of these burglaries occurred on Friday nights while families slept. The suspect stole thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry, including some victims’ life savings, causing significant distress and sleepless nights for many affected families.
Shomrim’s announcement emphasized their ongoing commitment to ensuring community safety and security. “We hope this gives some closure to the many families who have been through so much difficulty over the last six months,” the statement read. “We hope you and your children sleep better at night, and if there are any recovered items that were stolen from your homes, we can assure you that everything will be returned to you as soon as possible.”
The Shomrim team is working diligently with the NYPD, NCPD, and the District Attorney’s office to keep this career criminal off the streets for a long time. They extended their gratitude to everyone involved in the investigation, including detectives from the NYPD’s 101st precinct, NCPD’s 4th precinct, and multiple other precincts throughout New York City. Special thanks were given to the 101 Precinct Special Operations Lt. Ryan Oshea, the 101 Public Safety team, 101 NCO teams, the NYPD’s Warrant Squad, the Queens District Attorney’s office, and fellow Shomrim members throughout New York.
Shomrim also expressed deep appreciation for the Shomrim wives and families who supported their efforts. “We would not have been able to get this done without everyone’s involvement, and we thank each and every one of you for the care, attention, and assistance that you gave to this case,” they stated.
Shomrim thanked the community for their trust and support, reaffirming their commitment to safety and security. “We made you a promise that we would put an end to this pattern, and we want you to know that we came through with our commitment. We are here for you. We wish everyone a wonderful rest of your day and a peaceful Shabbos, knowing that we at the RNSP Shomrim have your backs always.”

What is the perps name?
1 Month later thanks to our AMAZING DA Alvin Bragg he’ll be back on the streets, Resuming his work.
Waiting to hear this habitual criminals rap sheet and how many times he’s previously been arrested and released to cause more mayhem instead of being locked up and prevented from doing all this damage, including such a time and money consuming operation. I won’t hold my breath for this info. Now that I have this shtik drek in custody, the next cockroach is about to scurry out of its nest and into our neighborhoods.
MARQUIS SILVERS, black, age 22 arrested. Not a Yid. See hamodia article.

So rav tzvi flaum supervised the NYPD and shomrim who caught a dangerous 22 year old career criminal. Can a 22yr old really be called a career criminal? Also the word dangerous is usually synamous with violent acts, did he attack anyone? Maybe give him credit that he chose not to resort to aggression.
