A source close to the Biden family told The Post that Obama has serious reservations about Harris’s ability to win against Donald Trump. “Obama’s very upset because he knows she can’t win,” the source said. “Obama knows she’s just incompetent — the border czar who never visited the border, saying that all migrants should have health insurance. She cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her.”
The source elaborated on the challenges Harris faces, particularly in a presidential race where every word and action is scrutinized. “When you are running for president there are things you can and can’t say,” the source noted.
Biden’s decision to exit the race followed a particularly damaging debate performance against Trump in Atlanta, described by The Post as part of an “elaborate set-up” to force Biden out. Despite the controversy surrounding the debate, Biden’s endorsement of Harris was unexpected even to the upper echelons of the Democratic Party.
“Obama was shocked” by Biden’s swift endorsement of Harris, the insider revealed. The source further commented on the potential pitfalls awaiting Harris in the campaign trail, particularly in televised debates. “Wait until the debate… She can’t debate. She’s going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine. She’s going to say something really stupid.”
The source believes that both Obama and Biden anticipated these difficulties, and that Harris’s candidacy would face significant challenges when confronted with complex international issues. “Obama knew this was going to happen, Joe knew this was going to happen.
