Early Thursday morning, Noa was joined by a small group of relatives and families of other hostages being held in Gaza to pray at the Ohel in Queens, the resting place of Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson z’l.

According to reports, the former hostage, who was rescued in a daring raid on June 8, davened and extended her gratitude for her own freedom, and davened for the safe return of the more than 100 hostages still held captive. In addition to a kvittel (prayer note) placed at the grave, Noa placed photos of hostages and their names.

Accompanying Noa were the mother of special police officer Ran Gvili, whose body is held by Hamas; Eli Bibas, whose son Yarden, daughter-in-law Shiri, and grandchildren Kfir and Ariel were kidnapped to Gaza; the mother of Yonatan Samarno, abducted from the Nova music festival and declared dead after 59 days; the brother of Oron Shaul, abducted during Operation Protective Edge; the mother of Omer Shemtov, kidnapped from the Nova festival to Gaza; the mother of hostage Ohad Yahalomi, still held in Gaza and grandmother of 12-year-old Eitan, freed after 52 days.

In November, Noa’s father, Yaakov, joined 170 other family members of hostages in New York to pray at the Ohel, after traveling on a chartered flight, organized by the Terror Victims Project of the Chabad Youth Organization specifically for that gathering and prayer.

In November, Noa’s father Yaakov, joined 170 other family members of hostages in a visit to New York to pray at the Ohel. Organized by the Terror Victims Project of the Chabad Youth Organization, the flight was chartered for the sole reason of bringing family members to pray for a miracle at the holy site. At that point it was not even known if Noa was still alive.

Noa’s mother, Liora, who was terminally ill and had expressed her last wish was to see her daughter, was thankfully still alive when Noa was rescued, yet tragically passed away three weeks later.
