WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews)– U.S. intelligence officials announced Monday that Iran is actively engaging in covert online influence operations aimed at harming Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The move comes as Tehran fears a return to power by the Republican nominee could escalate tensions with Washington.

An official from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) stated during a press briefing that U.S. spy agencies have detected Tehran’s efforts to sway the presidential election. This shift 
in assessment reflects a change from previous intelligence views, which suggested Iran was primarily acting as a “chaos agent” in the election.
While officials did not explicitly state that Tehran aims to undermine Trump, they noted that Iran’s current operations align with its goals during the 2020 election, when it also sought to damage Trump’s candidacy. “We haven’t observed a shift in Iran’s preferences since 2020,” the intelligence official commented.
A spokesman for the Iranian mission to the United Nations in New York refuted the allegations, stating that Iran does not engage in activities intended to influence U.S. elections. The spokesman labeled the accusations as “psychological operations designed to artificially pep up election campaigns.”
Despite the denials, U.S. officials reported that Iran is mainly focused on fostering distrust in U.S. political institutions and increasing social discord, particularly in light of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Tehran is utilizing “vast webs of online personas and propaganda mills to spread disinformation” and is engaging in covert campaigns that reflect a preference for the upcoming election’s outcome.
Regarding Russia, officials noted that Moscow’s preferences have not changed since President Biden withdrew from the race earlier this month. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s primary objective remains opposing candidates likely to continue military support for Ukraine. Vice President Kamala Harris’s emergence as the presumptive Democratic nominee has not altered Iran or Russia’s election strategies, officials added.
Iran’s influence operations reportedly include attempts to directly engage Americans. Some of these covert activities are believed to be directed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a U.S.-designated terrorist organization under Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Earlier this month, Avril Haines, the director of national intelligence, highlighted Iran’s actions related to the Gaza protests. These activities included “posing as activists online, seeking to encourage protests, and even providing financial support to protesters.”
Of course they want to undermine Trump, the last thing they want is a strong U.S. president that will not but up with their bull crap. They know the Kamala is nothing more than a Obama puppet !

I expect that Iran will pay protestators to wreck havoc outside the polling places, burn American flags, block entrances to buildings, engage in physical assaults with cops and voters. It will be similar to what happened in Washington DC when Netanyahu was invited to address Congress. People will be frightened to go to the polls. Iran wants Kamala to continue their billions of dollars in money and have Obama direct his 4th term.
