Lebanese Newspaper Blames Amos Hochstein For ‘Deceiving’ Negotiators, Colluding With Israel

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Lebanese newspaper associated with Hezbollah has blamed US negotiator Amos Hochstein for “duping” the terrorist organization and colluding with Israel. According to an article in the newspaper, Hochstein gave misleading information to Hezbollah, stating that the Israeli response to the Majdal Shams massacre would not take place in Beirut, where in the end Israel attacked Hezbollah No. 2 Fuad Shuker and eliminated him.

The newspaper wrote that “during the last negotiations, Hochstein did not just adopt the demands of the enemy, but was party to the greatest deception which contributed to the enemy attack on Beirut. It might help his interlocuters, whoever is associated with him and whoever receives his messages and learns from him, to once and for all end communication with him, as he has full responsibility, due to his solidarity with the enemy, for the crime in the Dahia quarter [of Beirut].

“There are many details but the main headline is that Hochstein, who wanted guarantees that Hezbollah would not respond to any Israeli attack, was the one who informed official sources in Beirut that the Israeli attack would be outside Beirut and its suburbs. He insisted on transferring this information.”

Shuker was assassinated together with an Iranian military advisor in a Tuesday attack for which Israel took responsibility. Shuker, the head of Hezbollah’s Strategic Unit, was responsible for the majority of Hezbollah’s most advanced weaponry, including precise-guided missiles, cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, long-range rockets, and UAVs. He was also responsible for force build-up, planning, and execution of terror attacks against the State of Israel.
