BIDEN HARRIS ECONOMY: Facing a $2 Trillion Deficit, Calls Grow to Downsize Government Amid Concerns Over Federal Employee Productivity

17

USA (VINnews)-The United States is currently facing a significant financial challenge with a $2 trillion deficit. This substantial shortfall in the federal budget has sparked calls for downsizing the government as a potential solution. Reducing the size and scope of government operations is seen by some as a necessary step to address the unsustainable fiscal trajectory and ensure long-term economic stability. This approach advocates for a more efficient and streamlined government that can operate within its means and reduce the burden on taxpayers.

Additionally, there is growing concern about the productivity of federal employees. Reports indicate that only 6% of federal employees are working a full 40-hour week in their offices. This has led to situations where individuals earning salaries upwards of $150,000 per year are potentially working as little as 25 hours per week. Such inefficiencies and disparities in work hours and compensation are viewed as unsustainable and in need of reform to ensure taxpayer money is used effectively and to restore public trust in government operations.

To the Democrat voter, the neurotic White suburban hausfrau, legacy media, Hollywood, and the Academy, none of this matters at all. As far as they are concerned, the country can rot. All that matters is that Harris is a woman and a person of color.

No. We must continue to grow our beloved government and military (keep those forever wars going), flood our country with illegal immigrant thugs (turning us into a 3rd world country), spy on every taxpaying peasant, pay out reparations to every alleged black in this country, etc etc etc… until we bleed to death.

Have you ever walked into a federal government building? Miles of desks without a trace of work going on. The goal should be to cut 50% of the federal desk job workforce, especially social security. When these people stayed home for months during COVID…let’s be real….they didn’t work, and the country didn’t miss them.

Let me make a disclaimer. I have been yelling on here that as frum jews who care about israel and the arabs we must vote for Trump. But lets be honest and stop living in just a Trump cult. If there is anyone that will grow the defecit its Trump. Trump lives off leverage and has never balanced his budgets anywhere. Under the trump presidency, he passed enormous tax cuts but never cut programs or govt expenses to pay for it thereby growing our defecit. Then came the pandemic and he just dished out money in an extreme loose manner form PPP to paying people not to work. The WSJ had an article today about Trumps new tax cut proposals one being no taxes on SS. It would increase the defict by $1.8T. Yes we need to vote for trump but lets not praise everything he does as gold. And hold him accountable for this. if you cut taxes then cut spending or don’t cut taxes.

OK…two rebuttals:
1) “in their offices” is not a good metric. Just like many businesses, much activity is done remotely: it’s simply not necessary to sit at a desk 40 hours a week. Also, may federal gov’t employees are on the road, visiting sites, meeting with state or local shareholders, etc.
2) Much of the fiscal crunch was forecast when Trump got his tax cuts. This is not a surprise. And we know that the tax cuts were as much about handicapping the government as it was for helping the rich. Less government, less oversight, less regulation are very beneficial to large businesses.
