She argued that Josh Shapiro, a prominent Jewish politician, was overlooked for a key position not because of his qualifications but due to Shapiro being Jewish.
“The reason why Josh Shapiro wasn’t chosen is because he’s Jewish,” Faulkner stated unequivocally. She went on to suggest that the Democratic Party has shifted its priorities, allegedly favoring groups like the Palestinian Authority and Hamas over the interests and safety of Jewish families.
The anchor further criticized the Democrats for their vice-presidential choice, labeling it as an “extremist” decision that complicates the party’s political strategy. According to Faulkner, Shapiro was the most suitable candidate, but his faith played a significant role in his exclusion to avoid alienating anti-Jewish voters within the party.
“Democrats made the dumbest, most extremist choice they could for VP which actually makes it harder for them. Shapiro was their best pick but they chose not upset their anti-Jewish voters who carry a lot of influence in their party now,” she argued.

There are a lot of other reasons why Walz might be considered a better candidate. Walz is no extremist; he had a rather conservative voting record in Congress. Among the things he voted for were to extend the Bush tax cuts and to build the Keystone XL pipeline. And he was elected with the support of the National Rifle Association. Walz is from rural America; Shapiro is from a big East Coast metro area.
One could also ask why Trump didn’t even consider any Jews and ended up picking someone who voted against aid to Israel. MAGA double standard.
